I’m a big soccer fan and a hobby I developed during the pandemic was to research and uncover some of the forgotten history of the sport in Detroit and Michigan. Soccer has been played in Detroit since the 1890s with a steady presence in the city and the state from that time up through now. I also put together a website to post the matches of the numerous big European and South American clubs that have stopped in the Greater Detroit area to play friendlies on US tours over the years.
