Chevrolet signed a multimillion-dollar sponsorship deal with the popular English Premier League football club Manchester United in 2012. Chevy emphasized this partnership later in the year with its booth at the Paris Auto Show. In the Manchester United Fan Zone, fans of the club can have their photo taken sitting in one of Manchester United’s Old Trafford dugout seats with the Chevrolet bowtie logo. The fans’ picture is then chroma-keyed into an actual team photo, which can be shared via email, Facebook, and Twitter. One, two, or three fans can sit for a photo and the software will adjust accordingly, placing a Manchester United player in any empty seats.
